Becoming Greatly Full:

An energy meditation for activating gratefulness

 

 

 



This meditation can be practiced at several depths of intensity, keep going as long as you feel enlivened by your experience, but be sure and get grounded to begin (instructions included) and allow yourself a few moments to re-enter afterwards.

Let’s open in this moment, for just a whiff of bliss, something to feed our deeper hungers. Even as you continue reading this, relax the hold you have on your energy habits and let yourself grow curious.

First organize your body for maximum energy flow.

Place both feet on the floor.

Now sift the position of your bottom on whatever you are sitting. Place your attention on the base of your spine, wiggle around and feel it. Notice that you naturally want to take a deeper breath.

Do it, take several deep breaths and exhale siiiighing as you let your energy settle into your bottom.


Find the triangle of support that is the combination of your tailbone and the two bones that your buns sit on. Imagine you’re sitting on a cushion that has some gentle bounce to it and feel the bouncing rhythms softly rippling up your spine into your head. Notice your energy circulating around and within your body. Ahhh, getting grounded.

Now close your eyes and let yourself do some gentle stretching while sitting there. Ask your body how it wants to move; listen, then move into the experience with soft, graceful energy. Continue breathing deeply. Then feel the energy alignment you are opening into.

Remaining in this experience for a few moments may be all the bliss you can handle right now. That’s fine. However, if you’re ready for more you’re now poised for many expansive experiences. Let’s keep it simple for now, we don’t want to blow our circuits, so only do as much as still feels good.

To move into a deeper alignment with bliss:

(After reading this)

Close your eyes and simply tune into all the sensations within and around your body as it continues to gently pulse with the energy moving thru you, feeeel this.

Bring your attention to your skin and allow all the pores of your skin to come to your attention. Everywhere, scan around sensing them. Now try placing your attention on all your skin simultaneously.

On your inhalation draw long shafts of energy into your pores, deep into your body.

Exhale, releasing anything your system would like to release back out thru your pores.

Feel this happening all thru your body, light beaming into your pores, acting on the debris in any way that it does, and releasing it all back into the field of infinite potential. Use your breath to direct this flow. Allow your body to sneeze, shiver and shake if it feels the need, you’re reorganizing your energy patterns.


If you still want to go deeper still, then allow the energy to come from vast distances and release it back out into the vastness. Notice what happens.

Deeper? As these pore-breathing exchanges are made, let your bodymind exclaim, YES! This empowers your intention.

Still want more? Then, allow energy to continue coming into your system for several breaths, allowing it to build in your body and work on you, before gathering it up on the inhalation and sending it out on the exhale.

If you’re integrating all this and still ready for more, then this is a most powerful time to call in your heart’s desires. This could be an overall desire, like well-being; or something specific like an inspiration for your creative project. Draw into your body, thru the pores, the feeling you’d feel if this were in your life right now, then wallow in it as you exhale. Savor it, be gratefully full.
